Home
We are home now. This was my shortest stay in the hospital so far. We left about 40 hours after we got there. For some people this probably seems rushes, but hospitals are boring and we had our 15 year old neice staying with the kids, so it just seemed prudent to get a move on it, and push for leaving as early as possible. The hospital was around 30 minutes from home, so in an emergancy it would have been hard to get to the kids in a timely manner. God was faithful, of course, and all turned out well. We went to eat on the way home from the hospital, and the hostess was an older lady, who was shocked we were on our way home from the hospital. She said that she stayed in the hospital a week after the births of her children!
Journey is a sweetie. Who’s baby isn’t? The first night at home was very very hard….I don’t think we slept more than 45-60 minutes at a time, and she was crying quite a bit, but last night was much better. She slept for hours at a time, and didn’t cry after she ate, she just went back to sleep. We all slept much better and feel much better this morning. She is sleeping and eating and pooping, just like she’s suposed to:)

Joy- I’m SO glad to hear that Journey is sleeping better. I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult that aspect of having a newborn would be. Journey is SO beautiful- she’s definately a Madison!!
thanks….we think she’s pretty cute, and DEFINATELY a madison
